yes, blogger is available over here; the previous incarnation of ThePickards was powered by blogger. I however wanted my own domain and hosting because I want the opportunity to do things in other scripting languages, have my own database connections and so on. 

And you&#039;re right (again!), I could have advertising, use affiliate programs and so on. As it happens, I am an amazon affiliate but I don&#039;t like the idea of having google adwords (or similar) on my site - although I would certainly be prepared to consider sponsorship.</description>

		<description>I don&#039;t know of international availability,but blogger.com  provides you a blog free of charge,and gives you the ability to earn through advertising through google adsense.There are also affiliate programs that offer compensation.(Amazon has one)You might not get to quit your day job,but you might at least make enough to pay for any fees involved.And who knows,if you have enough traffic,you might just have more fun by making a little profit at something you enjoy.
