Was looking at one of my favourite sites today (well, it’s bookmarked in my firefox browser) to see if there was anything new and came across something I liked very much. It’s not particularly accessible, being a video with no relevant sound or audio description, but it is funny.
Banksy is a graffiti artist. He’s political, anarchic and very, very funny. If you don’t like the term “graffiti art” then you may be surprised to find that Banksy agrees with you. Here’s my favourite quote once again:
- Is graffiti art or vandalism?
- That word has a lot of negative connotations and it alienates people, so no, I don’t like to use the word “art” at all.

Top video, looks like somewhere near me - I’ve not been to the Banksy site for a while; he hasn’t done much lately. Cauty’s the new(ish) face on the block - check him out.
I’m a fan of Banksy too. I live in Bristol, and he’s on the agenda a lot - especially with the ‘Mr Angrys’ who write letters to the Evening Post!
