OK, just to clear up the sartorial issues. The broad brimmed hat is to cover the increasingly sensitive top of head due to hair being less productive than Govt Connect. And the black cape is to disguise the girth which is becoming as infuratingly flabby as Govt Connect. And the cackling was in fact my unique interpretation of the Roy Orbison standard, Crying, which is the Govt Connect anthem.

I can assure readers that the ‘dressed entirely in black, with a broad-brimmed hat covering his face, a flowing black cape with the initials â€œGJâ€ on it, who cackled evilly from time to time.’ wasn’t me although the initials clearly fit.

Only do capes and cackling on a full moon…..

Indeed I was and an excellent day it was too. I’m sorry I didn’t get to have a pint with you afterwards, as you’re one of the Great Spiritual Overlords of LA Webnerds, although I was privileged to meet Dan the night before when I finally got to Brum. Unfortunately, as anyone who knows me in my “ordinary” life will attest, I’m not good at paperwork and didn’t realise that my train ticket was “open”, so I could have caught the last chuffer out of New Street after all!

Hopefully, we can meet up some other time using Mr Dunmore’s good offices (unless my identity is uncovered and I’m defrocked by my paymasters, in which case I may be available for coding!).

Thanks again to you and Dan for some excellent presentations. And the chap from East Devon gave me an idea for this week’s GJ…

Nice write-up Jack, it was good to see you and I enjoyed myself a lot.

I didnâ€™t really get to have much of a conversation with Stephen Lang, which would have been nice

Stephen Lang was there?! I didn't know, his name wasn't on the list I got before the event.

this time he even managed to get the people from PSF to host a â€œDan Championâ€ workshop event

For the record, I was very kindly invited to do the workshop, I'm, not that forward!
