Wii Are Playing Tennis Again

Here’s one for you Wii buffs out there: what are your standings in the various Wii Sports?

I’m currently the tennis champion, and professional in another two events, while not particularly playing the last two because I don’t like ‘em. For any of you with an interest, the run down is as follows:

  • Tennis: 2242 ranking points
  • Baseball: 453
  • Bowling: 1018
  • Golf: 1059
  • Boxing: 510

Two interesting points to note here: firstly, it’s very, very difficult to improve my tennis rankings. Basically, I need to beat the computer in a best of 5 by three games to love, conceding only about one point overall otherwise my ranking gets worse. Yes, I lost twenty points on one occassion when I won three-love but got taken to deuce on my serve…

Secondly, from glancing at Wii Sports Star’s Tennis Rankings, this puts me 4th overall. And I mean, overall. At least as regards tennis. I think for the other sports I’m in approximately position three million.

    @NewsWeber:
    um… I’m not actually a tennis champion in real life, you know. Certainly it’s nice that you think I’m sufficiently newsworthy in your ‘latest tennis news’ archive to rank my 2242 points on Wii Sports Tennis alongside stuff like:

    Top-seeded Anna Chakvetadze won her third title of the year when she downed seventh-seeded Akiko Morigami 6-1, 6-3 in the final of the Cincinnati Women’s Open on SundayMore from NewsWeber Latest Tennis News

    …but I’m not actually a pro tennis player. Just someone who’s been playing Tennis on the Wii Sports game. Okay?

    Jack what’s your highest score in bowling? Last night I achieved 218 and was well pleased considering in real life I’m totally crap at it!
