Shortfellas The Movie

They’ve been filming a trailer for a movie in Newcastle recently. It’s called Shortfellas, and it’s basically a crime comedy caper with five dwarves, five million pounds worth of diamonds, and various Newcastle locations.

The trailer has been released somewhat in advance of the film — as they’re still attempting to raise more money for the film — and you’ll recognise Warwick Davis, who seems to have played every short role I can think of over the last 25 years, from Wicket the Ewok when I were a lad, through Willow, the Leprechaun, in Extras, Professor Flitwick in the Harry Potter and soon to be appearing in Prince Caspian. And that’s without even mentioning panto…

With dialogue like this, it’ll go down well in Newcastle:

CharlieHave you noticed anyone following you recently? Anyone suspicious?

RobI live in Sunderland — they all look suspicious!

And the trailer looks good too:

Let’s hope they raise the money quickly: I really want to see that…
