The problem with all news media is that their editors get to decide (perhaps on experience, perhaps on a whim) what we want to read.

The editors appear to think that we, the readers, are interested in young innocent girls being wronged, and not in young lying girls wronging others.

And why didn’t he wake her to check it was all going to plan? I mean you wouldn’t cut someone’s hair while they’re asleep…

As the owner of a tattoo, I can say with reasonable certainty that the notion of falling asleep during the process is laughable. Good point about the way the media have handled the story though.
