Turn of Phrase

I coined what I believe to be a nice turn of phrase today. You might not like it, but I do. And frankly, as it’s my blog, it’s my turn of phrase, I’ll like it if I damn well please, ok?

Anyway, the phrase was in connection to comedy which was near the knuckle, and it was on the BBC Editors’ blog (take a look if you’ve not been), relating to Armando Iannucci and Chris Morris’ brands of comedy, and I described their flavour of comedy as sometimes being…

so near the knuckle it’s like a punch in the face

Well, I like it!
