they got exactly what they deserved.
you know me, i’ve been there in the past roaring the chaps on but this time round i must admit i wasn’t exactly dissatisfied with the end result.
these players think they just have to turn up to get the result and don’t have to work hard like everyone else.
the main thing i noticed was england trying the usual ball in the air approach which usually ended up at the feet of a croatian player. when the croatians put the ball on the floor they made it look so much easier.
and you could see the delight on the croatians faces at winning what was for them a dead rubber, while the english failures will have next summer off and go back to playing domestic football for atrocious wages.
    ’nuff said

  2. Marcel Cairo responds:

Please oh please England, we Argentine fans hope you keep that goalkeeper for S. Africa 2010. :-)

  3. JackP responds:

To be honest Marcel, he’s not a bad keeper. He’s just young, inexperienced at that level , and had an awful game last night which has probably destroyed his confidence.

By 2010 he might be a an asset… (or he might not)

  4. Marcel Cairo responds:

I was just kidding with you, Jack, really. I’m sorry your team won’t be in Euro 2008. I have to agree with you , though, the goalkeeper really did have a bad night. Plus, the defense seemed to be asleep on several plays.

BTW, when are you going to respond to the prize I told you you won?
