Newcastle United have rejected a bid from Monaco to sign central defender Jean Alain Boumsong on loan.
The French outfit wanted the former Rangers star on loan for the season, but wanted the Magpies to pay half of his £350,000 a week wages.Clubcall
I’m not surprised they wanted a hand paying that, given that it’s about 20 times the normal top whack salary in France! Unless they’ve just been a bit overkeen with the zeroes and added one too many…
