Kiss of Deaf
Apparently, passionate kissing can make you deaf.
Yes, that’s right, deaf. And I don’t just mean “so you don’t hear her parents letting themselves back into the house”; it turns out that a Chinese woman has lost all hearing in her left ear after kissing her boyfriend passionately.
It appears that a “strong” kiss may cause an imbalance in air pressure which may lead to your eardrum rupturing. I’d just like to point out that I have yet to rupture anyone’s ear drum simply by kissing them.
…actually, come to think of it, I haven’t actually ruptured anyone’s ear drums at all. Which I don’t see as being a bad thing.
However, I don’t see this as me being cold or not passionate: it’s more that I see the purpose of kissing as to be an intimate moment shared with a loved one, and not the opportunity to pretend that you are an industrial strength vacuum cleaner required to suck your partner’s face inside-out. Or maybe that’s just me…
